Shine House

Take part in 52 Weeks of Stitching on the first Friday of each month at 6 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset. The meet-up is a place to practice stitching in the company of others. The group will engage in small pocket projects led by Tara Helser with guest leadership.

Learn how to build a clay vase on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset. Students will create a 10-inch vase for spring flowers while learning the basics of hand-building with clay. Finished pieces can be fired and glazed.

Learn clay building in the Clay and Cones workshop on Friday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset. Students will learn how to make their own small clay plate that will hold handmade incense cones by artist Tara Helser.

Engage in a paper-making basics workshop on Friday, March 22 at 6 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset.

Paint your own pottery beads with instructor Tara Hesler on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset. There will be multiple shapes and sizes for you to choose from with up to 20 beads to paint. Additional beads will be available to purchase.

Learn the basics of a circular weave on Saturday, March 16 at 3 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset.

Learn how to weave a wood based fruit basket on Saturday, March 16 at 11:30 a.m. at The Shine House in Somerset. In this workshop you will start with a pre-made base and weave a 7-inch wood base basket. This class will be led by Angie Abbot.

Get creative with "Build a Mug with Kaity" on Saturday, March 9 at 3 p.m. at The Shine House in downtown Somerset.

Participate in a Tiny Stitched Hanging Art workshop on Friday, March 8 at 6 p.m. at the Shine House in downtown Somerset. Your finished piece of art will measure 2"x3" and hang from driftwood.

Create at the Large Textile Wall Art workshop on Friday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Shine House in downtown Somerset. The two-part class will prepare you to complete a large textile wall piece.

Join in Adult Fabric Bead Making on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Shine House in downtown Somerset. The two-hour workshop will teach you how to create fabric beads in a variety of ways.
