Foodstock Festival

11am — 8pm

Food­stock fea­tures food trucks from across the state, spir­it, and bev­er­age ven­dors, live art cre­ation, and plen­ty of fun music and activ­i­ties for fam­i­lies. The fes­ti­val includes a busker music con­test with­in the fes­ti­val area. Live art demon­stra­tions take place at tents sur­round­ing Foun­tain Square through­out the day.
 
Hear all busker musi­cians per­form at the par­tic­i­pat­ing busker con­test down­town venues as they com­pete to earn a spot on the Moon­light Fes­ti­val Stage.

Admis­sion is FREE to Food­stock, how­ev­er, if you want to pur­chase alco­holic bev­er­ages you must buy a $5 spir­it wrist­band at one of our entrance gates. Many down­town busi­ness­es will be open dur­ing the fes­ti­val, and we encour­age fes­ti­val-goers to vis­it them! Please uti­lize down­town side­walks to access these busi­ness­es.

Hand­i­cap-acces­si­ble park­ing and safe rides are avail­able dur­ing the fes­ti­val in the South Central/East Mt. Ver­non St. park­ing lot (across from First Unit­ed Methodist Church). Safe rides are spon­sored if you live local­ly and need a safe ride home.


 

The 2025 Busker Music Contest winner is Jadan Trammell, who performed at The Makers Mill.

Jadan dis­cov­ered his love for singing at 5‑years-old and has­n’t put a gui­tar down since his “papaw” bought him his first at 16.
 
Jadan is a singer/songwriter from Som­er­set, KY, and is now set to per­form at our Moon­light Fes­ti­val on Sat­ur­day, Octo­ber 18. We can’t wait to hear more from this tal­ent­ed musi­cian! You can also catch him LIVE at Mas­ter Musi­cians Fes­ti­val this July 11 at 6 p.m.
 
“It was very close, and every sin­gle artist did a phe­nom­e­nal job per­form­ing at Food­stock 2025! Jobie Bradley
Jobie Bradley is a self-taught local artist who lives in a con­stant state of nos­tal­gia for every­thing 90s. Though his art career just start­ed in Sum­mer 2022, Jobie is already mak­ing big waves! He has been doing con­ven­tions and pop ups, sell­ing prints of his art­work, as well as mak­ing cus­tom art for clients local­ly and nation­al­ly. At the Jobie Bradley Art Illus­tra­tion Acad­e­my, Jobie men­tors aspir­ing artists in the art of char­ac­ter illus­tra­tion, help­ing them unlock their full cre­ative poten­tial. When he’s not cre­at­ing art or teach­ing, Jobie can be found co-orga­niz­ing Cum­ber­land Con, a local con­ven­tion cel­e­brat­ing the para­nor­mal, comics, pop cul­ture, and com­mu­ni­ty, now in its third year.
 

Nate Michaels
Since 2015, Nate has been a full-time artist. He trav­eled nation­wide, show­cas­ing his vibrant, pop cul­ture-inspired art at com­ic con­ven­tions and art fairs. When COVID-19 halt­ed live events in 2020, he piv­ot­ed to com­mis­sioned pieces, expand­ing into large-scale acrylics and pop­u­lar Sharpie mark­er draw­ings. In 2021, Nate set­tled in Kentucky’s Lake Cum­ber­land area, con­tin­u­ing to cre­ate com­mis­sioned art for col­lec­tors across the coun­try. In 2024, he was fea­tured in Ken­tucky Month­ly Magazine’s 2024–2025 Gift Guide, praised for por­traits that “res­onate with raw emo­tion and intro­spec­tion” through bold brush­strokes and vibrant col­ors. Dri­ven by the emo­tion­al impact of his work, Nate aims to expand this con­nec­tion in 2025 and beyond, cre­at­ing art that moves and con­nects with a broad­er audi­ence.

Kara Nor­ris
A self taught artist in South­ern Ken­tucky, exper­i­ments with acrylics, inks, & knives. She enjoys paint­ing, illus­trat­ing, and hand­cut­ting orig­i­nal min­i­mal­ist sten­cils.

Jeff Scrib­n­er
Long-time res­i­dent of Ken­tucky, Jeff is a painter and graph­ic design­er. He designs, cre­ates, and mar­kets his work under his J. Robert Trade­mark brand. Jeff is a hydro­cephal­ic and trau­mat­ic brain injury sur­vivor and has a Cer­tifi­cate Diplo­ma of Graph­ic Design from the for­mer Art Insti­tute of Fort Laud­erdale in Flori­da. Ani­ta Vaught Sti­gall
Born and raised in Pulas­ki Co., KY, Ani­ta is a mixed media artist. She pri­mar­i­ly works with acrylic, oils, wood, clay and oth­er ele­ments from nature. She also enjoys revamp­ing great fur­ni­ture finds.
 
The Shine House
The Shine House, based in down­town Som­er­set, KY, inspires peo­ple to imag­ine, dis­cov­er, and con­nect through pro­grams and expe­ri­ences in the cre­ative arts and to empow­er the com­mu­ni­ty to cel­e­brate its dif­fer­ences through cre­ative expres­sion and increase a sense of belong­ing and accep­tance of all indi­vid­u­als.
 
Jake Wil­son

A Som­er­set, KY, artist that spear­heads Doom­say­er Designs. He fan­cies him­self a com­ic book artist but loves to cre­ate art in any form. He loves tra­di­tion­al art such as water­col­or and acrylic paint­ing, pen­cil draw­ing, and illus­tra­tion.
