Established in 1996 through the vision of U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05), The Center for Rural Development boasts a state-of-the-art meeting and convention facility in addition to the programs and services it provides in four focus areas: public safety, arts and culture, leadership and technology. The Center has been host to the Stand Up Rural America conference, the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference, the Kentucky Association of Economic Development Collaboration Conference and the Kentucky Travel Industry Association spring conference, among others.
