View the Southeastern Kentucky African-American Museum and Cultural Center and the Stories Behind the Quilt exhibition on Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23 at the Pulaski County Public Library in downtown Somerset.
This exhibition will open on May 22 at 12 p.m. ET followed by the opening reception at 4 p.m. ET with an in-depth peek into the Stories Behind the Quilt that highlights the following quilts: Colors of Africa, Reflections of Appalachia, My Hometown, The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad, and The Resurrection. The exhibition will be on display on May 23 during the library’s regular operating hours.
