Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally

Somer­nites Cruise and Pulas­ki Coun­ty Park are team­ing up for the 5th Annu­al Campin’ the Cum­ber­land Vin­tage Camper Ral­ly Sept. 23–26 at Pulas­ki Coun­ty Park.

Even with the pan­dem­ic, last year’s ral­ly had more than 50 vin­tage campers and was a great suc­cess.

Thurs­day, Sept. 23 is check-in day. The day is open to set up and to explore the area (and we have a lot to see includ­ing Cum­ber­land Falls, Big South Fork Scenic Rail­way, His­toric Mill Springs Grist Mill, Mill Springs Civ­il War Bat­tle­field, Haney’s Appledale Farms, etc.) all with­in a five-minute to 45-minute dri­ve of the camp­ground.

Fri­day, Sept. 24 is the open house, sched­uled from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. We will pro­mote the open house to any­one in our com­mu­ni­ty who may want to see the campers.

Sat­ur­day, Sept. 25 is the Somer­nites Cruise event in his­toric down­town Som­er­set (again about 10 min­utes from the camp­ground). Gates open at noon. Orga­niz­ers are plan­ning for sev­en to 10 vin­tage campers to set up at the event.

Cost is $60 total (for three nights) and that includes an event decal. Event T‑shirts will be avail­able.
