Somernites Cruise and Pulaski County Park are teaming up for the 5th Annual Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally Sept. 23–26 at Pulaski County Park.
Even with the pandemic, last year’s rally had more than 50 vintage campers and was a great success.
Thursday, Sept. 23 is check-in day. The day is open to set up and to explore the area (and we have a lot to see including Cumberland Falls, Big South Fork Scenic Railway, Historic Mill Springs Grist Mill, Mill Springs Civil War Battlefield, Haney’s Appledale Farms, etc.) all within a five-minute to 45-minute drive of the campground.
Friday, Sept. 24 is the open house, scheduled from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. We will promote the open house to anyone in our community who may want to see the campers.
Saturday, Sept. 25 is the Somernites Cruise event in historic downtown Somerset (again about 10 minutes from the campground). Gates open at noon. Organizers are planning for seven to 10 vintage campers to set up at the event.
Cost is $60 total (for three nights) and that includes an event decal. Event T‑shirts will be available.
