Foodstock 2024

Join us on Sat­ur­day, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for a day of food, music, and art at the fifth Food­stock Fes­ti­val in down­town Som­er­set, KY! Food­stock fea­tures food trucks from across the state, spir­it, and bev­er­age ven­dors, live art cre­ation, and lots of fun music and activ­i­ties for fam­i­lies.
Admis­sion is FREE to Food­stock, how­ev­er, if you want to pur­chase alco­holic bev­er­ages you must buy a $5 spir­it wrist­band at one of our entrance gates. Many down­town busi­ness­es will be open dur­ing the fes­ti­val, and we encour­age fes­ti­val-goers to vis­it them! Please uti­lize down­town side­walks to access these busi­ness­es.
We will also host our pop­u­lar Busker Music Con­test with­in the fes­ti­val area at The Tip­sy Toad on Foun­tain Square: Vot­ing will take place from 11 a.m. — 9 p.m. Sat­ur­day, April 20. You must have a cell phone to vote. Scan the QR code dis­played at each loca­tion (in mul­ti­ple places through­out each estab­lish­ment) to vote for your favorite musi­cian. Vot­ing totals will be ver­i­fied on April 22 and the win­ner announced at 5 p.m. on See Somerset’s Face­book and Insta­gram. Buskers will com­pete to earn a spot on the Moon­light Fes­ti­val Stage on Oct. 19, 2024 in down­town Som­er­set.

Live art demon­stra­tions will hap­pen at tents around Foun­tain Square through­out the day, fea­tur­ing these artists, who are fol­low­ing the theme: Foun­tain Square.

Fea­tured Busker Musi­cian Line­up (Don’t for­get to vote for your favorite!):

1–2PM Mela B
Folk/rock musi­cian from Frank­fort, KY. Orig­i­nal­ly from Cal­i­for­nia. This surfer chick has a unique style of music across a mix of gen­res. 

3–4PM Kevin Thomas Jones
Singer/songwriter from Mon­ti­cel­lo, KY. He has been per­form­ing music for approx­i­mate­ly 15 years and says he can play just about any instru­ment with a string. He is ready to show­case his coun­try “twang” and his musi­cal influ­ences draw from coun­try and blues artists young and old.

5–6PM Annie Boek
Alternative/indie musi­cian from Rus­sell Springs, KY. She’s been per­form­ing ever since she picked up her daugh­ter’s ukulele in 2018. She’s been cov­er­ing songs and writ­ing a bit of her own as she gigs at local venues on the week­ends. Her musi­cal influ­ences range from Paramore to Adele and Cage the Ele­phant.

7–8PM Bran­do Van­schoy­ck
Award-win­ning singer/songwriter and mul­ti-instru­men­tal­ist is orig­i­nal­ly from Hind­man, KY, and now resides in Som­er­set, KY. His raw, thought-pro­vok­ing lyrics har­mo­nize with his dis­tinc­tive fusion of gen­res and instru­ments, cre­at­ing a cap­ti­vat­ing musi­cal expe­ri­ence.

Jake Wil­son
A Som­er­set, KY, artist that spear­heads Doom­say­er Designs. He fan­cies him­self a com­ic book artist, but loves to cre­ate art in any form. He loves tra­di­tion­al art such as water­col­or and acrylic paint­ing, pen­cil draw­ing, and illus­tra­tion.

Jeff Scrib­n­er
Long-time res­i­dent of Ken­tucky, Jeff is a painter and graph­ic design­er. He designs, cre­ates, and mar­kets his work under his J. Robert Trade­mark brand. Jeff is a hydro­cephal­ic and trau­mat­ic brain injury sur­vivor and has a Cer­tifi­cate Diplo­ma of Graph­ic Design from the for­mer Art Insti­tute of
Fort Laud­erdale in Flori­da. Vis­it jroberttm.com for more about the Eubank, KY, native’s artis­tic cre­ations.

Ani­ta Vaught Sti­gall
Born and raised in Pulas­ki Co., KY, Ani­ta is a mixed media artist. She pri­mar­i­ly works with acrylic, oils, wood, clay and oth­er ele­ments from nature. She also enjoys revamp­ing great fur­ni­ture finds.
